The Laboratory of Computational Methods in Engineering has been operating for more than forty years in the researching field, formulation and development of numerical methods applied to Engineering and Geosciences, using High Performance Computing and Scientific Visualizationresources.
The transmission of these technological results has been made throughout this trajectory through the main channels of communication with society, such as the publication of scientific papers, the training of human resources and the execution of projects and technical consultancies.

Our scientific production includes more than seventy doctoral theses, two hundred master’s dissertations, ten undergraduate monographs, more than one hundred and twenty papers published in indexed journals and seven book chapters.
We have a vast portfolio of projects, amounting to more than 130 technological projects carried out in partnership with national and international businesses and funding agencies, as well as more than twenty partnerships and exchanges with national institutions and more than seventeen partnerships with international institutions.
